Glenn’s show is 100% good, clean fun — a unique blend of magic, comedy, and promotes the importance of reading in an Entertaining & Educating way! The show will begin with music (titled: Reading is Fun) accompanied with several magic tricks and illusion. The audience participation portion of the show will follow with fun theme educational and reading tricks, including the appearing library card. The highlight of the program comes when Glenn magically produces library items from a library illusion.
The “reading” theme will encourage children to realize whatever they want to learn can be found in a book! It’s the PERFECT blend of magic & communication! During the show, I engage the children asking for volunteers to answer questions about the differences between fiction, non-fiction, biography, etc., in addition to library etiquette. I encourage them to turn off their video games, phones, and computers, “just for a little while”, and to pick up a good book and READ. Now is the time to show everyone the MAGIC IN READING and to get them excited about coming out to the library!
